The focus of this workshop is to provide support so participants feel comfortable engaging students in using and creating games to meet any curricular goal. We will look at game elements and mechanics, repurposing game pieces and everyday objects, tips, and hacks for unleashing children’s creativity as they devise, create and test their own games. This is a hands-on workshop, we will share many examples of student and teacher-made games and brainstorm many ways to integrate game making into any curriculum and content area. Participants will have the opportunity to make and modify game elements for their own classroom.
